Carley vs Japan

Hello, Ohaiyou-gozaimasu!!

Remember when I went to Japan (like an eternity ago) and remember when I said I'd be posting more about it (like an eternity ago as well)?

Well, yes hello, I am finally following through with it now!!!

I'm not even going to say a lot, let's just let the pictures do the talking. After all, a picture speaks a thousand words, right?

Our first meal in Japan - Udon noodles

Shinjuku Garden (look at that symme-tree though ;D )

There are so many more photos I have of random things and places but I hope these will suffice. Japan was such an amazing and different experience and I am keen to be back again! The people were so friendly and I kid you not the public transport is so impressively ON TIME - can you believe such thing exists?!

Anyways, catch you in the next one!

Lessons learned from learning

Hello world, it’s been a hot minute!!! Since the last post where I wrote happily about the lack of academic stress, blissfully unaware that a month or so later I’d subject myself to more of the same, I hope you’ve been keeping well. To quickly catch you up, alongside balancing social and work life, a lot of time and energy has been dedicated to studying in the past few months. In doing so, I’ve learned a few lessons beyond the curriculum which I’m here to share.

New Age, New Stage

I remember in high school I once told a friend of mine that “I have never felt extremely happy nor extremely sad.” The palette of emotions that I experienced felt grey at most, nothing deep enough to feel the extremities. Now that high school is a distant memory, I am beginning to see the palette in more completeness.

The Last.

It's been a while since I've pulled up a word document not for the purposes of writing an essay or assignment. It's refreshing. Before the night officially ends I'd like to wish my fellow Chinese friends out there a happy mid-autumn festival!
