So It Goes…

Hi, Hello and welcome!

After a longgg break from blogging I am finally back at it and I'm super excited to be back! I assume not a lot of people know that I've once had a blog but that's besides that point. I’ve obviously gone with the whole ‘new year, new start’ theme and started fresh although we are well through January. But hey, better late than never, right?

This blog clearly is under construction (just like I am); it’s very basic and plain but it serves its purpose. I had originally planned to work on the appearance of the blog and such before creating the content, but with my tendency to procrastinate and my horrible prioritizing skills I figured it’ll be better if I worked on things gradually. I suppose it could be seen as some symbolic stuff about how the changes of this blog are a visual representation of who I’m becoming and all. Cheesy, I know.
As suggested through the title of this blog, my name is Carley and I can be pretty clueless about a lot of things. I don’t mean this in a self-depreciating manner but there’s just a lot I know I have yet to learn. Hence, this blog will (hopefully) document my experiences and all that jazz – you probably get the drill.

You are probably going to get to know the person behind the blog (me) through the blog if you (for some reason) decided to stick around or visit from time to time, but here are some random facts about me!
  •  I’m a hugee high school musical fan (expect references scattered across the blog, you’ve been warned)
  • My favourite kind of chocolate is dark chocolate
  • Puns are my sense of humor (again, you’ve been warned)
  • I love peanut butter!
I suppose that’s enough for now, I’m not sure anyone is really interested in any of this and I can’t think of other things either, so woop!

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you’ve enjoyed your visit!

Until next time,

Lessons learned from learning

Hello world, it’s been a hot minute!!! Since the last post where I wrote happily about the lack of academic stress, blissfully unaware that a month or so later I’d subject myself to more of the same, I hope you’ve been keeping well. To quickly catch you up, alongside balancing social and work life, a lot of time and energy has been dedicated to studying in the past few months. In doing so, I’ve learned a few lessons beyond the curriculum which I’m here to share.

New Age, New Stage

I remember in high school I once told a friend of mine that “I have never felt extremely happy nor extremely sad.” The palette of emotions that I experienced felt grey at most, nothing deep enough to feel the extremities. Now that high school is a distant memory, I am beginning to see the palette in more completeness.

The Last.

It's been a while since I've pulled up a word document not for the purposes of writing an essay or assignment. It's refreshing. Before the night officially ends I'd like to wish my fellow Chinese friends out there a happy mid-autumn festival!
